Shotfirer 2: New Adventure takes the dynamite-loving treasure hunter away from the old mine and into the mysterious caves of the Himalayas. Valuable diamonds and hidden treasure wait underground again, but the new location brings a much larger set of puzzles to solve.
The sequel contains 45 levels. Each stage asks you to explore the cave, collect its diamonds, deal with obstacles, and reach the exit. Dynamite remains the main tool for changing the environment.
Walls that appear to block your progress can often be blasted apart. Buried treasure may also need an explosion before you can reach it.
Hunt for All Three Diamonds
Every level contains three pink diamonds.
You can sometimes spot them as soon as a stage begins. Other diamonds sit behind rock or require you to travel through a less obvious part of the cave.
Collecting everything turns a simple trip to the exit into a larger puzzle. The quickest route may leave valuable items behind, so you need to explore before deciding that a level is finished.
The stages grow harder as you move through the 45-level adventure. New layouts make you think more carefully about where to go and where to use explosives.
Boxes, platforms, gravity-based situations, creatures, and other obstacles can become part of the puzzle.
Improve Your Equipment Along the Way
Shotfirer 2 also adds upgrades.
You can improve equipment connected to your adventures, including the dynamite and other useful exploration tools. Better equipment helps as the Himalayan caves become more demanding.
The basic controls remain familiar. Arrow keys or W, A, S, and D move the character. Space, Z, or Ctrl lets you place dynamite.
Rushing can cause problems because explosions need space. Dropping dynamite and standing beside it is an easy way to lose progress. It is better to place the explosive, move to safety, and then return after the path opens.
Shotfirer 2: New Adventure keeps the main idea of the first game while giving you far more stages to explore. Every cave asks you to look for hidden treasure, collect the three diamonds, use dynamite in useful places, and work out a safe path toward the exit.
