Survive Until the Helicopter Arrives
Zombies in the Shadow: 20 to Die is a top-down survival shooting game where you face a large zombie attack after escaping from a dark factory. The danger does not end outside. Zombies surround the area, and your only hope is a rescue helicopter. The helicopter takes 20 minutes to arrive, so you need to defend yourself and keep the camp secure until help reaches you.
The battle takes place around a campfire protected by barricades. Zombies approach from different directions and try to break through the defence. You need to move around the area, aim carefully, and stop them before the camp becomes overwhelmed.
The dark setting also matters. Limited light makes distant enemies harder to notice, so watching every side of the screen becomes important.
Defend and Repair the Barricades
Use W, A, S, and D to move. Aim with the mouse and click to shoot. Press Q to repair damaged barricades and the campfire. You can jump across barricades with X or by quickly pressing a movement key twice.
Barricades give you valuable protection, but they do not last forever. Zombies can damage them during an attack. Ignoring a broken section gives the enemies an easier route into the camp.
Repairing at the wrong moment can also be dangerous. Clear nearby zombies first and then fix the damaged defence when you have enough room.
Defeated enemies can leave useful loot behind. Collecting these items helps you prepare for the next part of the attack.
Switch Between Weapons and Equipment
Zombies in the Shadow: 20 to Die gives you several weapon groups. Press 1 to switch guns, 2 for rifles, and 3 for launchers. Press Space to open the inventory and select weapons or devices. R reloads when manual reloading is active.
Extra equipment gives you more ways to survive. Press E to switch devices and F to throw or place the selected device. C performs a close-range bash. The Z key activates the night visor, which can help when darkness makes the battlefield difficult to read.
Saving stronger weapons for crowded attacks can help. Using everything on a few weak zombies may leave you poorly prepared when a larger group reaches the barricades.
Zombies in the Shadow: 20 to Die keeps the pressure going for the full survival period. Protect the campfire, repair broken defences, collect useful supplies, manage your weapons, and hold back the zombie horde until the rescue helicopter finally arrives.
