Get to Know About Part 3 – Pokemon Profession Emerald No Legendaries
Diving back into Part 3 of my Pokémon Emerald “No Legendaries” run, things are heating up as I push through Mauville City. I’ve been juggling a mix of Electric-types and friends I caught along the way—most notably my Azumarill and Swellow, who’ve both been surprisingly reliable. There’s something thrilling about knowing no matter how tough a gym battle gets, you can’t lean on the usual legendary heavy-hitters. It forces you to really get creative with your movesets and item loadouts.
Speaking of creativity, I’ve been experimenting with berry-boosted strategies and TMs I scavenged during my last trip through Route 117. Teaching Thunderbolt to my Roselia was more of a gamble than I expected, but it’s paid off against that pesky Whismur backup in Wattson’s team. Outside the gym, I also devoted some time to training my Trapinch—once it evolves into Flygon, I’m betting it’ll fill in a whole new niche on my roster.
The coolest moment so far was an impromptu double battle with a wandering trainer duo near Meteor Falls. Watching my Gardevoir shield the team from a surprise Earthquake while my Manectric dished out a decisive Overheat felt cinematic, like a little victory montage. It’s those unscripted clashes that keep the run feeling fresh, especially when I can’t rely on legendaries to bail me out when things go sideways.
Looking ahead, I’m eyeing the seafoamy path to Ever Grande City, figuring out how to handle the Water-type gauntlet without resorting to Kyogre. I’ve got a secret weapon lined up that I’m itching to train, and I’m guessing you’ll hear all about it in the next update. For now, I’m savoring these gym victories and the way this “no legendaries” rule keeps me on my toes—there’s a special kind of pride in winning on pure strategy.
