Build an Army in the Stick World

Heroestick War is a side-scrolling strategy game where humans, witches, giants, and other fighters battle for control of the stick world. Instead of controlling one warrior, the player manages an entire force. Workers gather the resources needed for war, soldiers enter the battlefield, and both armies try to destroy the opposing castle.

The battlefield stretches beyond one screen. Players can move the view left and right to check their own forces or see what the enemy is doing farther ahead.

The main goal is easy to understand. Build an army strong enough to break through the enemy troops and destroy their castle before they can do the same to yours.

Gold and Food Keep the Army Moving

Heroestick War uses two important resources: gold and food.

Miners collect gold while farmers gather food. These resources pay for the units that enter battle. Sending too many fighters without keeping enough workers active can slow down the army later.

That makes the early part of a stage important. Players need enough workers to keep supplies coming while also preparing soldiers to stop the first enemy attacks.

The mouse handles most choices, including resource gathering, troop creation, upgrades, and power-ups.

Send Different Fighters Into Battle

The army contains several unit types rather than one repeated soldier. Warriors fight with swords while archers attack from farther away. More powerful units become available as progress continues. Witches and giants also play a role in the larger army.

Different fighters cost resources, so producing the strongest unit every time is not always practical.

Players can use number keys and the QWERTY row as shortcuts for releasing units. The A and D keys or the left and right arrows move the camera across the battlefield.

These shortcuts become useful when several groups need to enter the fight quickly.

Upgrade Before the Next Fight

Progress also brings Stick Points that can go toward improving existing units or opening stronger choices. Farmers, miners, warriors, archers, and later units can become more useful through these improvements.

A stronger economy can produce troops faster. Better combat units can survive longer once the armies meet.

Heroestick War combines these simple ideas into one steady battle. Gather food. Mine gold. Improve useful units. Send soldiers toward the enemy castle. Watch the other army and decide when more defense or a stronger attack is needed.

The stick figures keep the visuals simple, but winning depends on more than filling the screen with fighters. Good resource use and the right troop choices give the army a much better chance of reaching the enemy castle first.
