Glassez – Build Pictures From Pieces of Colored Glass

Glassez is a puzzle game about completing stained-glass pictures from small pieces of colored glass. Instead of putting together a normal jigsaw puzzle, you work with pieces that come in different shapes. Each one needs to fit into the correct part of the picture. You can rotate a piece until its shape and color match an empty area on the board.

The idea looks easy when a level begins. The picture has several open spaces and you receive glass pieces that may fit those spaces. The challenge comes from working out which piece belongs where.

Rotate Before You Place

A piece does not always arrive in the correct direction. Clicking it rotates the shape. You need to keep turning it until the edges line up with the space you want to fill.

Color matters too. A piece can only cover an area that matches its color. This stops you from forcing a shape into a location simply because the outline looks close.

Looking at both the shape and color saves time. A piece with the right outline can still belong somewhere else.

Not Every Piece Is Useful

Glassez also gives you pieces that you may not need. These can go into the trash instead of onto the picture.

Throwing pieces away comes with a cost because it reduces your points. That means the trash should not become the first choice every time a shape looks confusing.

Sometimes rotating a piece again reveals a position that was not obvious at first.

The puzzles become more interesting as the pictures grow more detailed. Larger stained-glass designs contain many small areas. Similar shapes can also make it harder to decide which piece belongs in each section.

There is no need for fast character movement or difficult keyboard controls. The mouse handles the puzzle. Most of the work happens through careful observation.

Glassez rewards patience. Placing one correct piece can make the remaining choices easier because fewer empty spaces remain. A difficult board slowly becomes clearer as the picture fills.

The simple rule makes Glassez easy to understand while still giving each puzzle enough room for mistakes. Rotate the glass, compare its shape and color, place it carefully, and try to finish the complete stained-glass picture without throwing away useful pieces.
