Have fun playing Slime Laboratory 1

Next: Slime Laboratory 2.

Alright, Slime Laboratory! This game’s a real trip, let me tell ya. You’re playing as this little green, gooey blob, right? And your main mission is to try and navigate your way through all these incredibly challenging and often bizarre levels inside some super mysterious laboratory. The really cool thing about your slime character is that it can do all sorts of neat stuff – it can stretch itself out like crazy to cross gaps, it can stick to walls and ceilings like some kind of slimy Spider-Man, and it can even squeeze itself through these teeny-tiny, almost impossible-looking tight spaces. That’s pretty much how you get past all the different obstacles they throw at you. Your big, ultimate goal in each stage is to reach that checkered finish line at the very end, but you’ve got to be super careful and nimble to avoid all the nasty hazards. We’re talking deadly lasers zapping across your path, sharp spikes sticking out of nowhere, and pools of bubbling, nasty acid that you really don’t want to fall into. Yikes! Oh, and while you’re slithering and sticking your way through, try to make sure you grab those old-school floppy disks that are scattered around – the red ones give you a whopping 500 points, the blue ones are worth 200, and the black ones will net you a cool 100 points. Every point counts!

So, the game’s got a good 20 levels in total for you to conquer, and each one introduces brand new kinds of challenges and tricky setups that will seriously test your timing and how precise you can be with your slimey moves and stretches. And trust me on this, as you get further into the game and start clearing more levels, the difficulty definitely ramps up quite a bit. You’ll find yourself needing to start thinking more strategically about how you’re going to approach each section, and you’ll need to have some seriously quick reflexes to survive some of the later traps. One of the really neat tricks your little slime has up its… uh… non-existent sleeve, is that it can actually grow bigger or shrink down to a smaller size. That ability adds another interesting layer of complexity to the puzzles, ’cause some areas or passages you can only get through if you’re the exact right size. It definitely makes you stop and think, for sure.

Slime Laboratory is a really fun and clever mix of classic platformer-style jumping and bouncing around, but it’s all blended with these cool physics-based puzzles that are all about how your unique slime character moves, sticks, and squishes. It all comes together to make for a super engaging and often hilarious experience for pretty much anyone, no matter how old you are or how much gaming you’ve done. The controls are dead simple to pick up, you’ll be sliming around in no time, and the visuals are pretty charming and cute in a retro kind of way. But don’t let that cute look fool ya, ’cause the increasing difficulty as you progress through the levels definitely provides a satisfying and sometimes pretty tough challenge. It’s a good one, a real hidden gem if you ask me!
