Guide the Light to Every Crystal

Quantum of Light is a puzzle game based on directing streams of light. Each level contains tiles that change the path of the light. Your goal is to rotate those pieces until the photon streams reach the target crystals.

The game contains 24 levels. It starts with simpler layouts and then adds more difficult arrangements. You do not move a character around the screen. Instead, you study the board and change the direction of the light.

Clicking a tile rotates it. Some versions also let you rotate in the opposite direction with the right mouse button. The challenge comes from understanding where the light will travel after it hits each piece.

Follow the Photon Flow

A beam may need to change direction several times before it reaches a crystal. One wrong tile can send the stream away from the target.

You can follow the path from its starting point and inspect each tile one at a time. Rotate a piece, watch what changes, and then decide which part of the route needs another adjustment.

Some stages include different types of light and obstacles such as black holes. These additions make later puzzles harder because you need to think about several paths at once.

There are also controls for restarting a level, pausing the game, and clearing the current light flow.

Learn While Solving

Quantum of Light includes an educational idea alongside its puzzles. Completing stages unlocks pieces of information about light and the electromagnetic spectrum. Finishing all 24 levels opens the complete collection of these pages.

The learning material does not replace the puzzle gameplay. You still spend most of your time rotating tiles and finding the correct route.

A useful approach is to work backward from the target crystal. Look at the direction the final beam needs to travel. Then inspect which nearby tile could send light into that position.

Quantum of Light does not depend on quick reactions. You can focus on the layout and test different ideas. The simple click-to-rotate controls make the basic rules easy to learn.

Later stages require much more planning. Several small changes can completely alter the photon path. Solving a difficult level means finding the exact arrangement that carries the light safely from its source to every required crystal.
