Homer can drive along the bottom, up the sides, and even upside down at the top. You control his bike with the arrow keys. One key makes him speed up. Another key slows him down. Left and right keys help him lean and turn inside the ball.
Every level gives you five main items to collect. They glow or stand out, so you know what to grab. Along the way you also see donuts and other treats that give extra points. The track also has red blocks and other bad things. Touching them hurts you and takes away one of your three lives for that level. When you lose all three, you must start the stage again and try a safer route.
The Simpsons Movie – The Ball Of Death asks kids to watch the whole ball and plan a clean lap. You learn to slow down before corners and then speed up once Homer points in the right direction.
