Defend Earth From a New Enemy
Shadez 2: Battle for Earth puts you in command of a mercenary force during a much larger war. Governments around the world hire your army after a mysterious machine-based enemy attacks Earth. Many countries can no longer defend themselves, so your forces take on missions across the world.
This game gives you more control than simply sending units toward an enemy. You build a military base, collect resources, train soldiers, create vehicles, use aircraft, and give orders directly on the battlefield.
Build a Working Base
Your headquarters provides the starting point for construction. New structures unlock different parts of your army. Power plants keep the base running. Barracks allow you to train troops. Vehicle factories produce stronger ground units. Airfields give you access to aircraft.
Every building needs power. The power meter helps you see whether your base has enough electricity. Building too much without adding power plants can cause parts of the base to stop working correctly.
You can also repair damaged structures instead of replacing them.
Collect Ore and Manage Your Money
Building an army costs money, so Shadez 2 gives you a resource system. You can construct an ore refinery and use an ore collector to gather the yellow ore found around the map. The collector brings the material back to the refinery, where it turns into funds that you can spend. Ore drills provide another way to gather resources.
This makes protecting your resource operation important. A large army cannot keep growing without a steady supply of money.
Give Orders to Your Units
You can select a single unit or drag a box around several units. Clicking another part of the map sends the selected group there. Clicking an enemy orders your troops to attack it. Number keys also let you create and select groups for quicker control.
The arrow keys move your view around the battlefield. You can zoom in or out and increase the game speed when you want construction to finish sooner.
Take On Different Missions
Shadez 2 includes a campaign with missions shown on a world map. Completing missions opens new threats and gives you experience points. You can spend those points on units, buildings, and strikes to improve their levels.
Shadez 2: Battle for Earth gives you plenty to manage without making the basic idea hard to understand. Build a base, gather ore, create an army, move your forces into position, and stop the enemy before it takes control of the battlefield.
